Receipts & printers

This covers two things: what appears on your receipt (notes, footer, logo, QR) and how it gets printed — either straight from the browser or through the ZeylonPOS print bridge for thermal printers.

🔷 For managers & admins
Editing the receipt layout needs settings.receipt.update. Installing the print bridge is done on the till computer, by whoever sets up that machine.

The Receipts tab shows a live thermal-receipt preview as you toggle options.

Designing the receipt

Open Settings → Receipts. A live preview on the right updates as you change each option.

OptionEffect
Receipt noteA short thank-you line, editable per language
FooterA footer message (e.g. "Visit us again!"), per language
Show QR codePrint a QR code on the receipt (used for tax invoices)
Show company logoPut your company logo at the top
Show receipt noteShow or hide the note block
Show footer lineShow or hide the footer message
Show print date & timeAdd a date/time line
  1. Open Settings → Receipts.
  2. Type your note and footer, switching language tabs as needed.
  3. Toggle the logo, QR, note, footer and date/time on or off, watching the preview.
  4. Select Save.

TIP

The note and footer are translatable. Whichever language the sale is in decides which text prints, falling back to English.

Printing a receipt

At the register, a completed sale prints (or e-mails) the receipt automatically — this is covered in Receipts & printing. There are two ways the print itself happens:

  • Browser printing — the receipt opens in a hidden print frame and uses your computer's normal print dialog. Works anywhere, no install.
  • The print bridge — a small Windows app (the printer SDK) that talks directly to a thermal printer for silent, one-tap printing.

Setting up the print bridge

  1. Install the ZeylonPOS print bridge on the till computer (Windows).
  2. Start it — it runs in the system tray and exposes a small local service.
  3. In the POS, point printing at the bridge and pick your printer (network or system printer).
  4. Do a test print to confirm alignment.
